What is a COVID Testing Compliance registration hold?

A registration hold prohibits future course enrollments and is placed on a student’s record for a variety of reasons. A COVID Testing Compliance registration hold is placed on a student account when a student who is subject to required weekly COVID-19 testing fails to meet their testing obligation for a second time at any point in the semester.

How do I get a COVID Testing Compliance hold removed from my account?

  • If you complete a COVID-19 test within the current testing time frame, your registration hold will be removed from your account. Follow the instructions provided in your required testing email.

  • NOTE: Do not contact the Office of the University Registrar, Office of Student Conduct or University Health Services to request the emergency removal of a COVID Testing Compliance registration hold. These offices are not able to assist in this process.

When can I expect to see my hold removed?

  • Testing records are reviewed weekly. Once a test result is listed on your record in Salesforce Health Cloud, your COVID testing registration hold will be removed, prior to your next required testing time frame.

  • If you took a mail-in test, the time it takes for your test to show up in the Salesforce Health Cloud may be delayed due to transit time.
  • Examples by Location

    • The testing week is Monday-Sunday.

    • Your compliance status is calculated on the following Monday. If you failed to test the prior week, the COVID Testing Compliance Hold is placed at this time.

    • If you have a registration hold in place on Sunday and you are shown to be in compliance on Monday because you tested anytime during the prior testing week, your hold will be moved by midnight on Tuesday.

Commonwealth Campuses (Tests picked up on campus)

    • The testing week is Tuesday-Monday

    • Your compliance status is calculated on a one-week delay to accommodate mailing time for tests.

    • If you have a registration hold in place on Monday and are shown to be in compliance on Tuesday because you tested two weeks prior, your hold will be removed by midnight on Wednesday. Remember that your compliance status is based on testing that happened two weeks ago, not last week.

Commonwealth Campuses, Great Valley and Dickinson Law (Mail-in tests)

    • The testing week is Thursday-Wednesday

    • Your compliance status is calculated on a one-week delay to accommodate mailing time for tests.

I completed a COVID-19 test, but my hold is not yet removed and my course registration window is opening, what should I do?

    • First, verify that you have tested during the appropriate testing time frame and that your hold will not be removed prior to your registration period (see above: When can I expect to see my hold removed?).

    • If you have verified that you tested in the correct time frame, contact the COVID-19 Call Center to request an emergency hold removal. Approved emergency hold removals will be processed within two business days.
