Do we need to wear masks and maintain physical distancing on campus? Should masks be worn outside?
In accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and public health guidelines, wearing face masks and adhering to physical distancing practices, including maintaining six feet of physical distance between another person, are critical components in helping to maintain the health and safety of the entire campus community.
The University’s COVID-19 Operations Control Center is evaluating the recently released CDC guidelines on masking outdoors by vaccinated individuals and how they may impact University policies. At this time, the University is continuing to require all individuals to wear face masks inside campus buildings at all times and outdoors when physical distancing is not possible.
Additional information about masking and physical distancing is available on the Health Guidelines page.
