What does “test before you return” mean?

Returning students and employees should test prior to coming to campus or a work space. Testing with at-home rapid antigen tests is a means to help increase confidence that an individual does not currently have the virus that causes COVID-19.

The testing process is two tests with negative results using unexpired test materials. The second test is taken 24-48 hours after the first negative test. Most rapid antigen test kits come with a set of test materials for this purpose, and this is called serial testing.

Individuals should closely follow the directions provided in each rapid antigen test kit.

Students are not required to report negative test results to the University. Positive test results may be uploaded to MyUHS. Employees are encouraged to contact Occupational Medicine if they test positive.
